Why should I get eyelash extensions?

How many lashes do I have?

The average person has anywhere from 70 to 150 eyelashes on their upper lid.

Growth cycle of an eyelash…

The average growth cycle of a lash is 90 days. Each lash is in a different stage of growth so you can expect to shed an average of 2-5 natural lashes a day.

How long can I expect extensions to last?

I recommend touching up every 2-3 weeks to keep your lashes looking good. If you choose to not touch them up I would estimate they could last 4-6 weeks.

Will extensions damage my natural lashes?

If you have them done by an experienced lash artist, they should not damage your natural lashes. The length and health of your natural lashes will determine what length and width extensions you can safely wear.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Make sure to clean your eyes of all makeup and mascara. Clean lashes are essential to a good bond and retention. If you don’t have time to clean them before your appointment, I have a cleanser you can use before your appointment.

How do I take care of my new lashes?

The best thing you can do for your lashes is to keep them clean. Think of the actual purpose of eyelashes. They are there to protect your eyes from dirt and debris getting into them. With that in mind, know that dirt and oil from your skin can build up at the lash line. If this builds up on your extensions the bond between your natural lash and the extension can loosen and can cause you to lose lashes sooner. Use an oil-free makeup remover/cleanser to remove any makeup and buildup daily. 

Do I need an adhesive test?

I think it’s a safe choice if you haven’t worn extensions before. The glue is applied to your lashes and never your skin but it’s possible for some people to have a reaction.
